That warm and cozy period of the year, when memories of past and excitement of future mingle for the turn to a new period, red becomes prominent, and cities install sparkling decorations everywhere… well, that’s outside!
We at MC Bike2Work focused more on the past and future mingling and we had on Friday December 7 our Annual General Meeting. Although to be fair, we did eventually let ourselves get a bit carried away with the Xmas mood at the end… but keep reading to discover more.
When 1st times lead to great experiences, then why not repeat them? That’s what we said to ourselves and like the previous year, our 2018 AGM took our members back to the Cafe du Cycliste in Nice’s port.
Some of our main talking points involved road safety, some past and future actions we want to go in this direction. We also had the usual finance report, votings and call to memberships; just 10 euro mate, find the registration details here and just send us an email ;)
That’s all? Well obviously not, for the more sporty ones among you, we also had a look at some possible activities for 2019, remembered our monthly cafe-croissant commutes and lunch rides, which will continue and finally… Christmas before Christmas! At least for some of our members.
A huge BRAVO goes to our most enduring and dedicated commuters, who received Cafe du Cycliste apparel and gift vouchers for their year long effort. So please join us in giving big kudos to:
GENERAL CLASSIFICATION
1st Paul / 2nd Richard / 3rd Pierre-Olivier
WOMEN CLASSIFICATION
1st Sandy / 2nd Elodie / 3rd Khitem
We also wish to give a big big thank you to all our members who every year surprise us by clocking in more and more commute kilometers, almost 200.000km this year… amazing! Keep rocking and thanks for making our association possible, you are all MC Bike2Work, merci!
Last but not least, next January, stay tuned to your inbox as we will present and start accepting orders for our 2019 cycling kit!

Thanks for a unique 2018 and we wish you all a very merry Christmas, happy New Year and… pedal safe!
